Mojo Barbara Streissand’s Best Ever Crew arrived @ Byron Bay, so time to party at Creepy Monkey:
Just the perfect time to arrive in Kyogle at my cousin Mia’s place for her partner Adam’s B-day party! Too bad having hangover from the party in Byron the day before, so only had 2 beers before the titi cake. Mia told her friends not to look, touch or do a crocodile Dundee on their ass showin off the knife. oh, whatever. Had a good time catching up with family, cousins, nieces and nephews. The party finally ended with watching the Oz vs. Kiwi-Rugby match on teli and I fell asleep zzzzzz…, everybody else partied till the sun raised ;-)
Next day we spent at the creek close to their farm to build up four water holes as little pools for the kiddies. Good fun time, a lot of mud and a ruined pedicure. Had fabulous lunch and dinner at Mamma Mia’s home Restaurante ;-) and ended up as ‘hot’ nurse givin little kiddo Bailey first aid after he crashed with his bike.
After a MamaMia-coffee for breakfast we went on a bushwalk along Sheep station Creek to see the Brushbox Waterfalls and then cruisin in the Jeep through Border Ranges National Park, resting for a delicious picnic at the lookout. Along the way we met many lizards making new friends with em.
On the way back we passed Nimbin.. I’m not a bloody hippie tourist or illegal immigrant, Adam! And yes, we have flies, snakes and spiders in Austria, no snow in Summer… etc. Tell your boys I’m not a Kiwi, there’s more than Australia and New Zealand ;-)
The hippy Mecca of nearby NIMBIN has to be visited to be believed. The town was created by students and dropouts who converged on the area in 1973 for a festival that celebrated the Age of Aquarius. Some of them had such a good time that they never left. I didn’t check out the Nimbin Museum but would be worth to find out how the students stayed behind forged the town.
Putting on my fishi-lips Aden the cutest Baby boy ever runs up to me and gives me a good night-fishi-kiss. CUTE.
Finally I got to see uncle Wolfy, his partner Vanessa and their family in Mullumbimby. This town is known as the ‘biggest little town in Australia’. It lies in a tropical valley along the Brunswick River. The beautiful surrounding encourage organic farming and sustainable living. Here you can wear your happy pants because this town has a very natural, positive climate. After cuppa tea and veggies we headed up to Brunswick for falafels and then on to Byron Bay for a swim with Baby Aden. It was time to say GOOD BYE to Mia, Aiden, Adam and Hailey. Love u!
